Your page reads well.
Can an AI actually quote it?

Drop in any public page address. You get an answer-engine readiness score out of 100, the passage most likely to be quoted, and the sections to fix first.

  • The passage an AI would quote

We pull the most liftable sentence on the page and show it back to you. If it is weak, that is the sentence answer engines will use anyway.

  • Five pillars, with their weights

Original insight, uniqueness, extractability, entities and data, structure - twenty-one checks in total, and every failed one is named.

  • Section-by-section fix list

Not "improve your content". Which H2 fails, why it fails, and what to write instead: a 20-word answer capsule here, a number there.

  • Any public page, yours or not

Grade a competitor as easily as your own article. It reads the page exactly the way an answer engine does.

  • The engine behind our audits

This is AEO Rank, the same scoring that runs on every full site audit we publish - not a lighter demo version of it.

  • A result you can send

One link carries the score, the verdict and the full breakdown, and re-runs the same deterministic check for whoever opens it.

What makes this different

Being quotable is half the job.

A page can be perfectly structured for machines and still read like nobody wrote it. This tool measures the horizontal axis below. The vertical one is a different problem with a different fix, which is why we never blend them into one number.

Human voice →

Human, but invisible

A real voice - but the structure gives AI answer engines nothing they can lift and cite.

Cited & trusted

Reads human and gives answer engines clean, citable material. This is the quadrant to stay in.

Cheap AI slop

Reads machine-generic AND gives answer engines nothing to cite. Readers bounce, engines skip it.

Optimized, but soulless

Well-structured for machines, but it reads like nobody wrote it. Readers discount it, and increasingly so do engines.

Answer-engine readiness →
  • This tool measures the horizontal axis - whether an answer engine can lift and cite the page, across the five AEO Rank pillars.
  • The AI Content Detector measures the vertical axis - how distinctly human the writing reads, across seven weighted components including a stock-phrase lexicon. Check some writing instead →
  • Both are deterministic - the same input always returns the same score, so a re-check after an edit is directly comparable.

Methodology

Everything the AEO Checker measures, and what each part is worth

The score is a deterministic measurement, which is why the same input always returns the same number - and why we can show you the weights instead of a badge. The who-wrote-it call is the one place a model reads the text, and its mechanism is spelled out too.

This half is AEO Rank, the engine behind every audit counted above. On one page it runs the page-level checks of those five pillars; a full site audit runs the rest. This page consumes it read-only.

AEO Checker

Can an answer engine lift and cite this page?

5 weighted pillars

  • Original insight 25%

Claims and data that are not already the answer an engine would give without you.

  • Uniqueness 25%

Whether the page corrects the default answer rather than restating it.

  • Extractability 25%

Whether a passage stands on its own, without the paragraph above it.

  • Entities & data 15%

Named things, numbers and sources a citation can anchor to.

  • Structure 10%

Headings, answer capsules and schema - the scaffolding retrieval uses.

Questions

Common questions

What does answer-engine readiness mean?

Whether a machine reading your page can lift an answer out of it and attribute that answer to you. It is a different question from whether the page ranks, and a different question from whether the writing is any good.

Why does it only take a page address, not text?

More than half of the score is about how a page is built: headings, markup, entities, data, and how it compares with the rest of the web. A pasted paragraph has none of that, so the engine would score zero on things that simply are not there. Text belongs in the AI Content Detector.

What is behind the score?

Five pillars of AEO Rank, weighted as the engine weights them: original insight 25 percent, uniqueness 25, extractability 25, entities and data 15, structure 10, plus a duplicate-content gate. Twenty-one checks in total, and every result shows which ones you failed.

Where does the pass mark sit?

Seventy out of a hundred. That is the engine own threshold, the same one used in our full site audits.

Can I grade a page that is not mine?

Yes. It reads the public page exactly as an answer engine would, so a competitor page works just as well as your own.

Is the score stable?

Yes. No model runs in it, so the same page scores the same every time and a re-check after an edit tells you something real.

The people behind this engine

You just saw what is wrong. This is who fixes it.

AEO Content is a content engine for AI search. The same scoring you just ran is what we build against, on every page we write for a client.

  • We find what only you know

An interview first, not a brief. Your numbers, your cases, the things a model cannot look up - that is what makes a page worth quoting.

  • We write it and publish it

Long-form articles built to be lifted by answer engines, straight into your CMS. No drafts left sitting in a folder.

  • We watch who quotes you

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, tracked over time - then we fix whatever they still skip.
